Although it is not an alternative manual, it is a very informative book full of clever ideas and hints. It covers all what is needed for the user's life to be made easier and it also offers some insight regarding things outside the software itself. The units are cleverly and clearly organised, taking individual care of different aspects such as MIDI recording, audio, the interface/windows, the mixer etc.It will definitely make any (non-pro of course) reader feel that they learn new clever things. What I would like to see which is not there is detailed information on specific issues which, however, do not fall in the category of Tips and Tricks, and as a result, there is no real reason for me not to award 5 stars.

I am a newcomer to Cubase and bought this book on the back of other reviews I had read. The way it has been put together is very helpful to someone like me and it has made using Cubase that much easier. I found the quick tips particularly useful. I would recommend this to someone who is new to Cubase and I could see how it could be useful to somebody who is familiar with the software also. Well worth the price.

Out of all the books I have bought for Cubase 5 this is the only one that has actually taught me things I did not know. I have been using Cubase since version 1 (which I still have on the shelf!) and have been a professional in audio for 30 years, so I *like* books that teach me something I do not know.A good purchase.

Helps you navigate around Cubase with more ease but it is not a step by step guide on how to use it, more in the way of being a way to make your Cubase sessions faster and more efficient than actually being a guide on how to use Cubase itself. Useful none the less!

Excellent book, aimed at people with a range of knowledge of Cubase so something for everyone to improve the useability of the program.
